Good start to the season!

I love that Ser Barriston the Bold is with Dany now. He is a great addition. The dragons looked fantastic.
Giants! They looked good too and i love the guy playing Tormund he is going to be great. not as sold on Mance but he'll grow on me.

It is interesting to see Magaery and Joefrey inteact

Loved Tywin and Tyrion! Such a powerful piece between them

Overall i was happy and okay with the changes.

I continue to have Nerd Rage that Ghost is not with Jon Snow. Looks like i'm just going to have to get past that.

The Ghost situation may change, I remember him being with Jon and also times when he disappeared. I'll have to re-read that whole part :D

You are right, If i recall ghost would go out on extended hunting trips and would be away for a while then. I'm guessing it works for the show so they dont have to cgi him all the time and spend money. I assume that is the same reason the battle for the fist of the northmen happend off screen :( that would have been fun to see.

Yeah a lot of things are going to happen off screen, just like the first two seasons, just to save time and money.

I don't even remember Robb going to Harrenhal in the books

Barclay is having a screening? That sounds so fun! I hope someone here in SoCal does a screening for it. I'd love to see it on a big screen though with fellow fans.

If you're going, hope you have a lot of fun.

By Barclay's, I mean Barclay's center, home of the Nets.  Not Barclay's the bank (which has naming rights for the arena).  They are also doing the traveling exhibition with their props there.

They just had the premiere last night at Lincoln Center (complete with a large scale model of a dragon), so hopefully some of the stars stuck around to make an appearance at the event.  I know Peter Dinklage lives in Jersey so it wouldn't be much of a trek.   One of my favorite con memories was standing right behind him while waiting to board a plane from Newark to SDCC.

I wish I could have gone but I had a schedule conflict. From what I am hearing they are going all out with the exhibit and screens. Advice to anyone going - get there a little early.

That would be cool if they did do a SoCal screening. Has anyone heard if there is a possibility?

If the screening tonight goes well, maybe they'll put together a similar event for SoCal.  But these activations take some time to plan so perhaps next season.   I actually think fan screenings are a great money making opportunity.  The Doctor Who Anniversary screenings raked in a lot of money and it wasn't even an advanced screening like this GoT event.

Here's a description of the event. Ticketmaster tickets are gone but you can get some through resellers.

If you guys are looking for a cool Game of Thrones related event and are into beer.  Ommegang Brewery is doing a launch for their new GOT beer line and also for season 4 premiering the following week.  They are doing several launches across many cities.  I am going to the one in Cleveland Ohio and they are doing a Medieval Feast style dinner.  Worth looking into if you are a fan of the show.  Here is a link to the Cleveland one on Facebook but it is now sold out.

I had a friend invite me to the San Diego event through Facebook, so that's how I found it.

Try this link :)
