Welcome to the sdccfit/comicconfit zone. you're in the right place- we're all about loosing a few pounds, and increasing stamina so we can enjoy life a bit more-and very supportive![member=5419]Aaron[/member] does a twitter feed at comicconfit with encouragements if you're on twitteri lost 60 lbs and have kept it off for 2 years- my biggest suggestion is to control how much you eat- i did/do it via weight watchers- there are plenty of other options out there. choose one that is based on the perimeter of grocery stores- vegg, protein, lean dairy. not dieting- just reducing the amt of food you eat. Ik, Ik easier said then done- believe me i know! it's about retaining your eating for your current level of exertion if i've been good i treat myself to the following;Chloe's Dark Chocolate fruit pop or 1/2 cup Breyers delights ice cream with a diet vanilla cream soda- like a rootbeer float
Follow ^, top notch motivator and it's awesome the sense of community that he's built around getting fit all around SDCC and more. While I'm nowhere near where Aaron is, it's really coot to see his tweets on what he's run, plans for staying fit, and various other motivational items. Makes me strive to do better where I can. Great stuff!
Anyone doing the #ComicConFit #NoHolidayGainChallenge? I'm down 1.2 lbs from last week's baseline weigh-in! As I mentioned on Twitter, my baseline weight this year was 11.6 lbs higher than last year. This challenge is just the wake up call I need to start getting back to getting fit. Thank you [member=5419]Aaron[/member]!
Lost 40lbs since last Thanksgiving No crazy system or anything, just tried to cut out sugar (artificial as well), fast food, and watch my carb intake as well as significantly upping my workouts. Unfortunately between age and poor form suffered a couple of injuries but still chugging along. Have an obstacle course race through the mountains next weekend that I'm excited about.
