Registration Codes are Happening

The Assistant to Professor Toucan is here to declare registration codes a vital part of participating in Comic-Con 2018 Returning Registration! You must have your own personal registration code to access the Expo Logic waiting room. Registration codes help keep out members who are not eligible for the sale (i.e. Toby Flenderson) and block those pesky bots that aim to crash the system.

To access the link to the waiting room and your personal registration code, simply log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account and select the “Registration Info” tab. The link and your registration code will also be sent to you via email at least 48 hours prior to Returning Registration. Make sure to keep your registration code safe and secure. And if you’re looking for some high quality paper to print that code on, I’ve got just the product for you! (Staples? Sorry, never heard of em!)

The Expo Logic waiting room will open for registration code authorization at 8:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on October 28, 2017. You must authorize your registration code for entry to the waiting room prior to 9:00 AM (PDT). The waiting room will close promptly at 9:00 AM (PDT) and if you did not enter your code in time, you will be shut out! You don’t need to arrive ASAP as possible, but we suggest you arrive 10 — 15 minutes prior to 9:00 AM (PDT) to avoid unnecessary wait times.

After 9:00 AM (PDT), Expo Logic will begin randomly moving members from the waiting room to a registration session. Regardless of what time you entered the waiting room, you may or may not be selected for a registration session. We anticipate that badges will sell out in about 90 minutes. Just enough time to watch the cinematic masterpiece, Threat Level Midnight.

Remember, if you are accidentally removed from the Expo Logic waiting room or temporarily lose connectivity, don’t panic! As long as you entered the Expo Logic waiting room prior to 9:00 AM (PDT), simply return via the waiting room link and re-enter your registration code. Removal from the waiting room will not impact your chances of being randomly selected for a registration session.

Your personal registration code will only authorize one device and one browser to enter the waiting room. Do not attempt to enter it on multiple devices and browsers. Doing so will authorize the most recent device the registration code was entered on, and your previous device will be unauthorized. Registration codes are good for one entry into the waiting room only. As our dear leader Michael Scott reminds us, don’t ever, for any reason, share your registration code, with anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, for any reason whatsoever. If you are a family with multiple eligible attendees using the same computer, use a different browser for each registration code. DO NOT use different tabs within the same browser.

Make sure to use a laptop or desktop computer. Comic-Con cannot guarantee that mobile devices (including iPads, other tablets, Computron, etc.) will behave as expected. However, use of Mega Desk may give you a tactical advantage.

And finally, here is a list of what you’ll need when Returning Registration begins:

    Personal registration code
    Expo Logic waiting room link
    Comic-Con Member ID
Member IDs AND last names of those you plan to purchase for
    Visa/MasterCard/American Express payment information*
Ice cream. It’s never too early for ice cream…

*We do not accept PayPal, Schrute Bucks, or coupons for Pizza by Alfredo.
