On the fence --- but willing to listen to the plans as they develop.

Might not be too bad, from Mr. Mignola's fb

Okay, here's some news--
There IS going to be another HELLBOY MOVIE.
It's going to be an R rated reboot directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game Of Thrones) and staring David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Hellboy.
More news to come soon--

Hard to imagine someone other than Perlman as HB, but maybe Abe can be restored to his proper bad-a** self?

As much as I'd love a third Perlman Hellboy film to conclude his arc, if they're gonna make more than one then casting younger is the best decision

Hellboy 3 Sorry to report: Spoke w all parties. Must report that 100% the sequel will not happen. And that is to be the final thing about it

really meant "as he had envisioned it."

I really enjoyed the first two movies. It's to early to judge with out a trailer.

HELLBOY 3 was not going to happen.  100% dead-in-the-water.  I adore the GdT films and would've LOVED to see his trilogy completed.
BUT
This reboot is going to happen.  In a time where GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY makes nearly half a billion dollars world-wide on the weekend the film opens in the USA, Hellboy and other weirder properties WILL be revisited by studios.  There is just too much money on the table.

Neil Marshall is awesome; he's no GdT but he's awesome in his own right and he could have an awesome take on Hellboy.
Dunno so much about the actor playing Hellboy.

Getting upset about an announced movie is kind of sill without knowing literally anything other than director/star.  Wait at least until we know the tone of the film, know a storyline, see trailers, etc before making a yea/nay decision.  The Hellboy universe is so ripe with interesting stories it would be a shame to ignore the property just because a specific director is no longer attached.

First photo of new Hellboy was pretty good. Still no casting news for Abe, which I'm even more curious about, I didn't really like what they did to the character in the movies. (I should clarify, I liked the movies and the movie Abe by Doug Jones I just like the comic Abe better.)
