This day is killer.

Quantity tells me to stay in Ballroom 20 all day, my super ASOIAF fan insides me tells me to try for the Game of Thrones panel.

Since GoT hasn't really started production, you probably won't get much other than a recap of season 2, some discussion as to what they envision for season 3 (which according to last year's panel will be half of book 3 with the 2nd half occuring in season 4). If you favor more shows in 20, I'd go to 20 and watch the panel replay of Hall H in the evening...

i may actually not do either room (hall h or ballroom 20) and get autographs & maybe take in a easy to get into, low key, panel.

I say go to the Hall H panels...Oops-am I being selfish?  :P
Unfortunately for me-the advice above is sound! :)

There are too many other easier to get into panels.  There are many events outside Comic-con.  I say go with the flow, but the beauty of the con is its your choice. Enjoy.

If I stay in Hall H until the end of Game of Thrones at 3:45, there is no way I will make it into the Falling Skies panel at 4:30 in 6BCF.  Of course, these were the top 2 panels I wanted to see.  Haven't decided if I'm skipping one for the other, or if it's worth a shot at watching half of GoT and then running for the 6BCF line for a chance at Falling Skies.

My conflict is Tron Uprising vs. The Walking Dead. I am going to pick The Walking Dead.

This day is killer.

I've got:

Ballroom 20
Community
Firefly
Joss Whedon
Breaking Bad

vs.

Hall H
The Walking Dead
Game of Thrones

Quantity tells me to stay in Ballroom 20 all day, my super ASOIAF fan insides me tells me to try for the Game of Thrones panel.

For me Hall H > Ballroom 20.  I missed Walking Dead last year and I don't plan on missing it again.  Looks like I'm not getting much hotel sleep Thursday night.  What do you guys think is a good time to start lining up to get a first 1/4 of the room seat?

I'm wondering this as well. I am going to assume it's as early as midnight the night prior.

My conflicts are

GoT vs Community
Jonathan Ross writers panel vs Spartacus

Think I've resigned to the fact I'll miss GoT also so I can get some autographs in the morning, but I haven't made up my mind yet about Jonathan or Spartacus!

I think it's clear that peeps should be hanging in Hall H on Friday.

(While I catch Bones, Firefly and Joss Whedon's panel in Ballroom 20.)

Have you guys been checking out the MySCHED on the CCCI site? i don't use it myself, but it's interesting to check out the panel listing. They show you how many people have signed up as 'interested' in certain panels. It's a rough estimate, but it gives you an idea of relatively how popular something is.

Gonna assume it's a very rough estimate and nowhere close to the actual # based on the comments on the FB page abt it being a bit wonky plus while I don't know many people going, the ones I do know don't really use it.

The bigger panels are gonna be crazy busy regardless of how many people added it to their schedule or not.

Oh of course it's nowhere near the actual number that will attend. But the RELATIVE numbers are interesting.

For example, on Friday, these panels have the following numbers of people 'interested' in them:

10:15 am TMNT 146
11 am Venture Brother 216
12:05 pm Big Bang Theory 949
12:30 pm Firefly 1301
1:25 pm Walking Dead 1061
1:45 pm Bones 475
2:45 pm Game of Thrones - 1142
3 pm Robot Chicken 302
3 pm Arrow 384
4:30 Falling Skies 306
5:30 Joss Whedon 607

If you compare these RELATIVE numbers against the room capacities, it allows you to see when some rooms might fill up faster or perhaps not even fill up at all. Also, it may help you make decisions on what to attend if you have conflicts.

I find it interesting that right now Firefly looks to be the most 'popular' panel, despite all of the hoopla going on in Hall H.

I used MYSched last year and the same relative numbers held true. In the popularity contest that is SDCC - the panels you would expect to see with lots of fans 'interested' are the ones you would expect.
