Good cons?
« on: November 20, 2017, 11:48:33 AM »
My friend and I are thinking about trying a new con in 2018 and are looking for ideas.
We have been doing SDCC and have also done Dragon Con, Fan Expo in Dallas, Wizard con in Austin.
New York sounds awesome but I dont think thats in the cards for 2018.
The Seattle con looks interesting but the dates didnt work.

We like panels the most with seeing artists also up there.
We also like seeing good cosplay (Dragon con was awesome for that)

What other cons do you all like?
thanks

I always enjoy Comicpalooza in Houston. It's Memorial Day weekend this year.

best thing to do [member=5010]drummerben[/member] is when you spot a con that works into your sched. post into that thread & ask folks- chances are someone on the forum has been to that con or is going to it.

A lot of good conventions mentioned above. If you are Austin based then Mondo Con just cause for you it should be easy. Gen Con (board gaming convention but some really good cosplay);

I've been told Phoenix Comic Con and Denver Comic Con are good as well.
2023 Cons: Five Points Festival, SDCC, Toy Fair, NYCC, IX, PAX Unplugged

What Alyssa listed. I will add Long Beach Comic-Con and SVCC to that list. I will say to pick one of the bigger ones that would make the trip worth wild, since you would have to fly out.

Would love to do Mondo Con in the near future.
