No! But when I woke up this morning that wasn't the plan. I have zero self control.  ;D

it's hard to make the comparison.  we expect there are a lot more people trying for SDCC then nycc. Plus SDCC randomized to minimize the hit to the servers, where as nycc does not.

the question is: ONCE a person is in the buying window, was the nycc process easier then sdcc or the same.
personally i think sdcc is easier - no white screens/404 and they give in thread(/) warning that the email/mem id has been used without kicking u to the beginning.

Came sooo close to getting some tickets this year, but just 2 days ago the family decided they want to go to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta which is the same days :(

Sounds like the glitches were manageable but could have been more problematic if the demand was at SDCC levels. The having to start over thing does sound like a design flaw that didn't come up in time to fix, but it did seem like they called attention to it with enough time for the information to circulate.

Was able to get all of my tickets in less than 3 minutes of waiting.  It sure beats last year when I waited for close to an hour.

exactly, and they had said they might be able to do a fix for 2018. It honestly seems as tho it was something that wasn't thought about till it was to late.

it will be interesting to see what happens in the gen sale. when they have a lot of folks who just fan verified and aren't as use to the system.

We'll get you to NYCC in 2018!

I was impressed by how smoothly everything went. Due to a communication error, I tried to buy for a person who already had a badge, and had to start over again. It wasn't bad at all: I just got dumper back to the initial page and added the tickets to the cart again and was able to complete the purchase that second time.

That error was with me -- I tried to update the sheet and could see my email but the color wouldn't change.  Then after you updated it worked for me to change it back to me.  Sorry about the confusion!!

THE FINAL FAN VERIFICATION COUNTDOWN: Only 5 days left to fill out a Fan Verification profile for #NYCC. If you didn't fill it out already, here's the link: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Everyone who would like to buy tickets to NYCC 2017, have a ticket bought for them, buy a ticket for someone else (you get the gist) needs a Fan Verification profile to have access to the general on-sale. So after you fill out yours, make sure your squad does too!

Actually, it's not.  Last one there was only one sale, general sale, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday badges didn't sell out that day.  Friday and Sunday sold out the next day, and Thursday I think was even still available in September.

General sale will happen on a Saturday, again.

On a Thursday, people will receive a 48 hours headsup.

Which Thursday is unknown.

More of these ticket types will be available during the general on-sale. We haven't announced the date of the general on-sale yet. #NYCC

Here's a hint: it'll be on a Saturday again. Which means if we're announcing that date 48 hours beforehand, you'll want to pay attention..

...to social and your email on a Thursday. Which Thursday? You'll just have to wait and see. #NYCC

I was in the queue for literally less that 30 seconds before I was able to purchase passes.
