I have a Hawkeye that I framed with just a regular frame. It's not really in any sunlight though!

Mllny happened to be at the Mondo studio during their flat sale on Sat.  He picked up a couple of posters for me & I love them!

OH MAN!!! Now you guys and gals are in my wheel house.  I have about 60 Mondo prints, about 8 of them framed and the rest stored in a flat file waiting to get framed.  I try to get all mine custom framed, but they are the only art I have hanging in my home besides a few comic art commissions!! I will definitely try and posts some pictures to this thread and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!

Mllny was at the flat file sale!?!?! JEALOUS - there were some GEMS in there this weekend!!!

Any suggestions on a good flat file. I'm ashamed to admit mine that aren't framed are kept in their shipping tubes, which I know is bad.

Mondo seems to be addictive.
Getting the prints when they go on sale seems to be as ulcer inducing as SDCC tickets.

i've been haunting ebay for a flat file with the settings tuned to 'distance;nearest to you'
i'm thinking a good used metal file would cost abt $250 ish maybe idk

Any flat file will work as long as the drawers move in and out easily and you line them craft paper, foam core, or something similar (acid free is the way to go - always!).

Ebay is a decent option, but I would be constantly checking Craigslist. That seems to be the place to be to grab some good deals!! I kept checking and it took me about 6 months to find one, but I got a mint metal flat file for $25. It was from a architecture firm that was going out of business and they had about 15-20 for sale. I picked up one and my friend picked up another!

Buying prints from Mondo is honestly just as stressful as SDCC, but those times you do score, it's a great feeling!

Also keeping them in a tube for a short period isn't as terrible as all the hardcore collectors make it seem! I would suggest that you could make an interim 'flat file.' You can take two pieces of acid free foam core and sandwich your prints. Lay them in between the two foam core pieces, lay craft paper or tissue paper between each print, and binder clip the pieces together once you're done. This is something that easily slides under a bed out of the way and will keep your prints safe and flat until you can find/afford a flat file!!!
