The Reactor: The Magnificent Seven Movie Review

By Boukenred

The new film The Magnificent Seven is a remake of the original The Magnificent Seven (1960), which ironically was a movie that was adapted from the film Seven Samurai (1954) directed by Akira Kurosawa. Set during the ‘old west’ era, this is a story of a band of seven outlaw cowboys united together to take on the evil corrupting their town and fight in the name of justice.636044420514665613-xxx-the-magnificent-seven-81535787

The movie has a magnificent all-star cast, including Academy Award Winner Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, and Ethan Hawke, as well as Vincent D’Onofrio, Byung-Hun Lee and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, with Martin Sensmeier completing the Magnificent Seven group. The ensemble cast proves to be a worthy successor of its predecessor movies (including Seven Samurai) and delivers amazing action and dialogue that will satisfy any movie viewer. The film mainly focuses on the characters played by Washington, Pratt and Hawke, but balances screen time well enough to showcase each of the other cast members during the progression of the story.

What makes The Magnificent Seven unique is that each of the characters prove to have particular skills and assets, but while still have a specific weakness of their own. However, once everyone bands together, they become an unstoppable force that is satisfying to watch and enjoy. The comedy from this movie also balances out with the action very well; dialogue is memorable and enjoyable. You will love watching a cowboy movie again.

The hype for this movie is real, but you can be guaranteed that this film will be on your must-watch list this weekend. This will be an entertaining movie that you will enjoy watching: one that brings back a sentimental cowboy nostalgia, as did its predecessor movie.
