Week in TV: 1/8 Lemony, Colony & Agents of Shield

The Golden Globes kick off award season this Sunday. We will be watching and hoping for Deadpool, Arrival, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Westworld, Ryan Reynolds, Rami Malek, Christian Slater, and Evan Rachel Wood win their respective categories.

This week continues the winter premiere slate of series with a couple of new entries, Taboo, Sneaky Pete, and A Series Of Unfortunate Events. Ridley Scott’s Taboo, which will air on FX, is a gritty 19th century revenge drama. Amazon’s Sneaky Pete, staring Brian Cranston and Giovanni Ribisi, is a gritty yet lighthearted series which centers on two con men . The highlight of the new shows this week for us is Netflix’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events with Neil Patrick Harris which is sure to garner viewers.

USA’s Colony returns for Season 2 this week. If you have not looked at this series yet Season 1 is available on Netflix and our spotlight of the series as part of the “What I’m Watching” series can be found by clicking here. Marvel Agents of Shield also returns this week with the second chapter of the season, titled LMD, is at the top of our viewing list. Lastly, Good Behavior & The Great American Baking Show cap off their seasons this week.
