Next week in TV 11/19: Runaway with Marvel

By Mario Wario, DRWHO42, & Alyssa

With Thanksgiving just around the corner here in the United States, it must mean 2017 is almost done. This time of the year also signals the beginning of the holiday shopping season which we all know how fun that can be. Likewise, when traveling all over the country (or internationally) to visit family.

As for television, you don’t have to go anywhere to catch up on the latest hits. Just locate that couch, turn on the TV and relax. Or you can use your phone/tablet computer when you’re traveling around the globe. Whatever method you want to use, let us help you with a quick rundown of the latest shows that are happening this week.

For example, Big Hero 6: The Series premieres this Monday on Disney XD. This new kid friendly television show takes place after the events of the 2014 film and the animation will be in 2D instead of 3D. Meanwhile, most of the voice cast members from the first movie will be back with only Damon Wayans Jr. and T.J. Miller not returning. Staying with the superhero theme, over on HULU, Marvel’s Runaways will be making its web television debut this Tuesday. This new series is set in the MCU that will have a group of teenagers (with attitude?) forming a partnership to combat a common foe: their parents! Yes, you saw that right. But there’s a reason as to why they are. So, if you have an account, do check this show out. It looks fun.

For those that have been following the series from every land out there, the day before Thanksgiving on SPIKE TV, The Shannara Chronicles will be having its second season finale. Also doing the same that day but on IFC, Stan Against Evil will be showcasing…well, heroes fighting evil demons some more. Overall, we can’t hardly wait to see how these two seasons will end!

As usual, we will have three NFL games to watch on Thanksgiving Day on Fox, CBS, and NBC. Plus on ESPN, if you want some college football/SEC action, Mississippi will be visiting Mississippi State for some instate fun. A nice way to get ready for that turkey dinner, no? However, don’t forget that the rest of the weekend will have more sporting events to watch.

Over on SYFY, this Friday the network will be having a special of a new series titled Happy! Basic premise – a hit man encounters some bad luck until meeting something imaginary along the way.   Editor note: No Longer on the schedule. The series will premiere on December 6th.

But the TV conversation for this week is just the beginning! Please click here to join on the conversation over on the FoCC forum. Don’t forget to look at the rest of the list down below. Until next time, have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
