Hangout 1/21: Media & Mystery Box Submissions with Comic Con Fit

From the An Englishman in San Diego’s site located here

“…an-nnnnnd he-eeeeeeeeeeere weeeeeeeeee …GO!”

SIX MONTHS! You have very nearly, almost precisely six months to prepare for the Grand Annual Nerd Extravaganza(tm) that is San Diego Comic-Con, and we on Talkin’ Comic-Con want to make sure that you are in fine fettle for the whole she-bang.

Last week, Alyssa kicked of a blind box cooking challenge, encouraging you to eat fit and get healthy for SDCC 2018 – here, in this follow-up show, Alyssa is joined by the big inspiration for everyone getting SDCCfit, Aaron Nabus from The Hall H Show. He’ll be telling us what he;’s been getting up to since we last spoke, about what he’s got planned for 2018 and what he’s doing to encourage everyone to get in prime shape for this year con activities.

That, and all the weeks con culture news – should be a great show!

The bulk of today’s show covered the submissions for the comic con fit mystery box food challenge.

Chuck Cook was our first email submission. Click here for more info
Asgard-en Salad – Kale, apples, orange are the from the list- missing the 4th item- a common issue. But points for low cal, nutritious !

Post on the forum from Tardis Mom Click here for more info. Due to real life issues she only got to the buying part of the challenge & roasted her sprouts- with oil & seasoning- & served them with hummus. When in a unexpected situation – I tend to go for more flavor additions- vinegar or Parmesan cheese for examples might be interesting additions- This is very much a ‘Its 4pm and i need to cook something for supper” problem.

Alyssa bought her first comic at age 7 and was hooked. She has collected comics most of her life. Recently, she has branched out to comic art and books and the occasional Lego set. She goes to as many cons as she can and enjoys the 'long form' storytelling of the television medium. She is also a foodie and is always up for trying new and different food.
