“…roll up, roll up, step right up – the Show Is About To Begin!!”

It’s Special Guest Time on the show this week – and it’s a pleasure to have one of our very favorite friends joining us, the man behind one of the most prestigious comic-led conventions in North America, as well as being someone who really knows his comics stuff (and is more than happy to let you know it, too!)

Matt Dunford is the Chairman of San Diego Comics Fest, which takes place over the weekend of 20th-22nd April at the Town & Country Hotel, celebrating not only the present and the future of comics but also their legacy – it’s an amazing show with an incredible lineup. Matt talks us through what has been planned for this years show, as well as anything else that takes our fancy!

All of this, as well as our usual features on Week In TV and the latest con culture headlines -should be one hell of a blast.

The far ranging conversation delved into the different types of conventions, the programing and guests of SDCF, Image comics vs the capes of DC & Marvel, Stan Lee’s continuing problems, ECCC, Black Panthers reception in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa and of course the upcoming week in TV.

Alyssa

Alyssa bought her first comic at age 7 and was hooked. She has collected comics most of her life. Recently, she has branched out to comic art and books and the occasional Lego set. She goes to as many cons as she can and enjoys the 'long form' storytelling of the television medium. She is also a foodie and is always up for trying new and different food.
