Hangout 7/23: The Post Con Wrap-Up

Leonard, Alyssa and Mark discuss the good the not so good and the unexpected-

Next week we’re talking with fans and long time listeners to the hangout—-

From an Englishman’s site

“…Great shot kid, that was one in a million!”

An-nnnnnd done. Leonard Sultana, Alyssa Franks (Friends Of Comic Con Forum) and Mark Searby (International Exports) go over the runners and the riders, the highs and the lows, the changes and surprises… indeed, the good, the bad and the beautiful of this years truly epic San Diego Comic-Con, from the perspective of those that walked the walk and talked the talk.

We close out our coverage of the con with this, our wrap-up show which we hoped would be from a prestige location – as it happens, that proposition fell through (as did our fallbacks!) so we’re hosting the show from *another* prestige location: the condo which we’re staying at!! That might sound a bit lazy but, as those who know their Comic-Con history, the El Cortez Apts. have a special place in the timeline of this historic convention.

Alyssa bought her first comic at age 7 and was hooked. She has collected comics most of her life. Recently, she has branched out to comic art and books and the occasional Lego set. She goes to as many cons as she can and enjoys the 'long form' storytelling of the television medium. She is also a foodie and is always up for trying new and different food.
