One more trip in the Lifeboat as Timeless returns for a two-part Series Finale!

By Mario Wario

Great news, Clockblockers! After getting cancelled (once again) by NBC last month, Timeless can now wrap up the current storyline, due to NBC green lighting a two-part series finale, which will air sometime this holiday season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, NBC and Sony Pictures Television agreed on a new deal to “bring back the series for a two-hour finale.” They also said that the main cast and crew will be back, and that Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke (the executive producers of Timeless) are thrilled that the series has a chance to end properly, as well as thanking the passionate fan base for not giving up on the show at all. (During San Diego Comic-Con 2018, two helicopters, or rather the ‘heliClockters‘, took the skies on July 21st with the “#SaveTimeless” banners flying right behind each one. This stunt was planned/paid by the loyal fan base.)

Meanwhile, comedian/actress Leslie Jones is very happy with today’s news. Before today, she wanted the series to return in some form, thanks to voicing her opinion on social media. Overall, Leslie loves this show a lot and didn’t want it to end without a proper conclusion.

While it would’ve been nice to see Timeless return for another full season, it is better than nothing, the blog believes. The recent cliffhanger won’t be left unanswered now so get ready Clockblockers, the holiday season will be here before you know it!

Lastly, this finale event would not have come to fruition without the dedication and devotion of the fans, affectionately called #ClockBlockers. With that said, there is still a chance the series may be resurrected after this finale so #ClockBlockers make sure you tune in LIVE for this, re-watch seasons 1 & 2 on Hulu, tell your friends about the series and get them to watched, and keep #SaveTimeless & #Timeless trending on the social media.

So, are you happy with today’s news, or do you find this bittersweet since the series will be ending for good? Let us know by heading to the FoCC Forums.
