Starz is Coming to NYCC

New York Comic Con (NYCC) is just around the corner and every day new, exciting details are being released.  Starz is no exception, as they have announced they are bringing two incredible shows to NYCC: American Gods and Outlander

If you haven’t seen American Gods, I have good news: they have only aired one season, so you have time to catch up before NYCC.  American Gods follows ex-convict Shadow Moon (played by Ricky Whittle) as he finds himself immersed in a battle between new gods and old gods.  The original novel, written by Neil Gaiman, is not only an amazing read but is fantastic on screen!

That’s not all though! Starz is bringing us something special from American Gods: The Motel American Diner.  This should be fun for both old and new fans to visit. They promise it is going to look authentic from the neon sign to the branded placemats on the table.  It will be full of photo ops and easter eggs, not to mention swag. Remember though, we are talking gods! So be prepared to give them offerings if you are expecting something in return.  You can make these sacrifices through Twitter and Instagram using the tags @AmericanGodsSTZ #AmericanGods.

Outlander is the other exciting show Starz is bringing to NYCC. This show follows Claire Randall (played by Caitriona Balfe), a nurse in 1945 who accidentally travels back in time to 1743, where she falls in love with Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan). This show is also adapted from novels, written by Diana Gabaldon.  The story brings true passion into a world that can be very unforgiving.  If you haven’t seen all 5 seasons be sure to download the Starz app where you can watch this fulling story from the beginning.

Be sure to catch the Outlander panel on Saturday, October 6th from 5:30-7:00 PM at Madison Square Garden

If you are as big a fan as I am of Outlander, then a panel is probably not enough.  Don’t worry, because Starz also has an Outlander cabin experience.  It will have two apprentice-style workbenches where fans can customize leather and receive a healing elixir (the elixir is inspired by the show). While you are there, be sure to talk to the brand experts who can tell you about the process and authenticity that takes place in order to bring the historic details of colonial America to life in the show.  Swag at the Cabin will include a fragrance by Caswell-Massey (est. 1752), a luggage tag, and a limited edition time travel tote featuring series key art.

My only question is “Is it to early to get in line?”
