Next Week in TV 10/28: Fall TV 2018 is a Grand Slam

By DRWHO42, Mario Wario, and Alyssa

This fall is nothing short of explosive, fantastic selection of new offerings and returns of our favorite shows. This upcoming week will feature battles on the baseball field, struggles with emotional demons, and political intrigue.

Looking back at last week’s Doctor Who, the series solidified itself with an emotionally powerful episode titled Rosa – after civil rights icon Rosa Parks. This season has been brilliant so far, and this week Chris Noth joins in on the action along with a few spiders.

The Walking Dead continues its countdown to the departure of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes. This season has been quite interesting thanks to the tension between the main communities; certain plot points forcing our heroes to make a few tough decisions. There was a hint at what could happen to Rick, but only time will tell. Be sure to check out the weekly TWD reviews by Transmute Jun.

The CW continues to offer a great escape and inspiration for viewers with the heroic series like Black light Lightning, Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and others. The new Charmed reboot is establishing its own Book of Spells, while Supernatural and Riverdale continue to keep their fans happy this season.

NBC’s Manifest continues to weave a mysterious tapestry while also giving its viewers some insight into the relationships between the people from flight 208 and their loved ones. The families were forced to live on without those on that flight for five and a half years. The latest mystery unveiled last week left us wondering about what happened on that plane. What will the next episode bring?

9-1-1 on Fox, meanwhile, has not lost a step during its sophomore season, thanks to upping the ante with interesting emergencies and rescues plot points, which keeps out hearts racing throughout the hour.

Netflix keeps on showering its viewers with amazing content, such as the high addictive Haunting Hill House and the recently released British hit Bodyguard, starring Richard Madden.

The week ahead will feature the return of our favorite bat-wielding Hollywood fixer Ray Donovan. This setting for this upcoming season will shift from Los Angeles to Manhattan. Later in the week we will be treated to the sixth and final season of House of Cards and the debut of Homecoming  which stars Julia Roberts.

Other notable mentions are the premieres of Stan Against Evil and the season finale for Channel Zero.

Of course, the conversation does not end here. Don’t forget to join the conversation on the FoCC Forum. We will see you there!
