Next Week in TV 11/18: A Thanksgiving Feast with ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’

By Mario Wario, DRWHO42, Alyssa

With Thanksgiving being this week, most will probably think that this week’s TV schedule will be dominated by sports; however, that won’t be the case.

On Sunday, audiences can catch the series premieres of HBO’s My Brilliant Friend (9 p.m. ET), as well as Showtime’s Escape at Dannemora (10 p.m. ET). On Facebook, the series premiere of Queen America will air at 9 p.m. ET, which stars Catherine Zeta-Jones. We doubt Zorro will be in this show though. (wink)

Monday will see AMC air the first season finale of Visionaries: Eli Roth’s HISTORY of Horror at 12 a.m. ET. Later that day, the two-hour series premiere of the new thriller The Little Drummer Girl will air at 9 p.m. ET.

Netflix and Amazon will have a few things to check out on Tuesday morning, while the third season finale of IFC’s Stan Against Evil will air at 10 p.m. ET, Nov. 21.

The highlight of the week will be the 12th season premiere of Netflix’s Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Thanksgiving Day. Also on Netflix will be the debut of The Christmas Chronicles, which has Kurt Russell playing as Santa Claus. Yep, you read that right, Snake Plissken is Santa!

As for the rest of the week, Netflix will continue its content drop of original shows/movies, while Nickelodeon’s Cousins for Life will wrap up the week, and you can catch that show at 8:30 p.m. ET, Nov. 24.

As always, please join the TV conversation by visiting the FoCC forum and lastly, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! See you all next week!
