Next Week in TV 2/17: The ‘Manifest’ Season One Finale is Coming in for a Landing, and More

By Mario Wario, DRWHO42, & Alyssa

Are you ready for this week TV fans?

Let’s begin with Starz’s Counterpart, since it will be time to say good-bye to this fun, yet interesting sci-fi series. Sadly, Starz announced on Monday, February 11 that they are not renewing the series, so the show has been cancelled. Tonight’s episode will serve as the series finale (8 p.m. ET), unless Counterpart finds a new home.

Basketball fans, meanwhile, can catch the 68th NBA All-Star game tonight (Sunday) at 8:20 p.m. ET on TNT/TBS. The game itself is in Charlotte, North Carolina, which is the home of the Hornets.

Wait…did you hear that Manifest fans? There’s a voice saying to us that you shouldn’t forget to watch the season one finale, which will be airing on Monday, February 18th on NBC (10 p.m. ET). So far, Audiences have been fascinated on the purpose of the so-called Calling and why only the passengers from Montego Air Flight 828 can only hear the call, although it will be interesting to see who else will use the call for personal gain. Overall, the blog team can’t wait to see what this season one finale has in store for its fans.

Fast-forwarding to Friday, February 22nd, do note that NBC’s The Blacklist will be airing at a new special time, which will be 8 p.m. ET. As for the rest of the day, Netflix will be the streaming service to turn on; another massive content drop is on its way.

On Saturday, February 23rd, NHL fans can watch the Philadelphia Flyers host the Pittsburgh Penguins at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

That is it for this week! The complete TV schedule is listed below and do let us know what you will be watching by posting away when visiting the FoCC forums. As always, happy viewing!

Alyssa bought her first comic at age 7 and was hooked. She has collected comics most of her life. Recently, she has branched out to comic art and books and the occasional Lego set. She goes to as many cons as she can and enjoys the 'long form' storytelling of the television medium. She is also a foodie and is always up for trying new and different food.
