Next Week in TV 3/10: ‘American Gods’ Returns, ‘Siren’ Finale, and More

By Scott, DRWHO42, & Alyssa

Don’t have anything to watch? Daylight saving time already driving you crazy? If so don’t fret, because Friends of Comic Con is here to help. So, without further ado here are some of next week’s TV shows/movies, and a bit of news.

Kicking things off will be the second season premiere of Starz’s American Gods which airs tonight (Sunday, March 10th) at 8 p.m. ET. Right after that, TV fans can catch the series debut of Now Apocalypse at 9 p.m. ET. In this new show, Ulysses, who lives in Los Angeles with his four friends, wants to find love and fame. But along the way, he begins to have bad dreams, which could be a sign of things to come, or the weed is getting to his head.

The ninth season finale of Shameless airs at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime. It should be noted that this finale will be Emmy Rossum’s last episode as Fiona Gallagher, although there’s always a chance the actress could return later if she so chooses.

The two-hour season finale of Fox’s The Passage airs on Monday, March 11th at 8 p.m. ET. History’s Project Blue Book says goodbye to season one on Tuesday, March 12th at 10 p.m. ET.

On Wednesday, March 13th, Netflix has a movie to watch called Triple Frontier which stars Ben Affleck (Gone Girl, Justice League), Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, Annihilation), and Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim, Sons of Anarchy). This feature film is about five former special forces operatives teaming up to steal some money from a drug lord, yet this mission is going to come back to haunt them. Meanwhile, the first season finale of History’s Knight Fight airs at 11 p.m. ET.

The second spring finale of Freeform’s Siren airs on Thursday, March 14th at 8 p.m. ET.

Then on Friday, March 15th, the blog recommends seeing Love, Death & Robots on Netflix. This crazy animated/anthology series is by Tim Miller and David Fincher which will have “dark comedy,” as well as “terrifying creatures,” according to Netflix. So, keep the kids away.

Are you an Idris Elba fan? Then how about seeing Turn Up Charlie on Netflix this Friday morning. Basically, it is about a former DJ trying to restore his music career, while also becoming a nanny for his friend’s eleven-year-old daughter.

Sadly, not everything is fine in TV land. Last week we got word that season eight of Arrow (The CW) will be the show’s last. Do note that next season will only have ten episodes so it won’t be a long one. Meanwhile, SMILF was canceled by Showtime, which means fans can catch the now-series finale on March 31st.

Lastly, the complete TV schedule is listed below, but do let us know what you will be watching when visiting the FoCC forums. Until next time TV lovers, have a great and marvelous week!
