Next Week in TV 4/14: ‘Game of Thrones’ Returns, ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Warps Out, and More

By Scott, DRWHO42, & Alyssa

Okay TV fans, Sunday (April 14th) is Game of Thrones day and many can catch the season eight premiere of the beloved HBO series at 9 p.m. ET. Sadly, this is the final season, yet the showrunners have promised that season eight is going to be satisfying to watch, so bring it on! Winter has return for a final time, so let’s enjoy every moment of it.

On Monday, April 15th, take note Green Arrow fans because another brand-new episode of Arrow will be airing at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.

Syfy’s The Magicians, meanwhile, says goodbye to season four this week thanks to the season finale airing on Wednesday, April 17th at 9 p.m. ET. Do note that the series was renewed by Syfy earlier this year which means Magician fans will get another season of magical fun.

On Thursday, April 18th, the CBS All Access television series Star Trek: Discovery will be leaving our solar system at 8:30 p.m. ET. The season two finale will not be it for the Discovery crew because the series was renewed by CBS All Access earlier this year, and rightly so. In our opinion, season two has been good; way better than last year’s first season. From the introduction of Captain Pike (Anson Mount) to the new storyline, it has been quite the ride so far, so we hope the finale will be satisfying to watch.

Friday will be the day to catch the latest drops from Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. Speaking of streaming, Hulu recently announced that Veronica Mars will return on July 26th, 2019, with Kristen Bell back as Veronica Mars for another eight-episodes. Meanwhile, Disney recently revealed more of its streaming service called Disney+ last week which will have tons of new/old Disney titles to check out, such as The Mandalorian, Marvel Cinematic Universe based TV shows, The Simpsons, and more. The service will have a monthly $6.99 price tag and it will launch this November 12th.

And that is it! The complete TV schedule is listed below but do remember that the TV conversation does not stop here. You can keep it going by visiting the FoCC forum.
