Next Week in TV 5/19: ‘Game of Thrones’ Series Finale, and More

By Scott, DRWHO42, & Alyssa

With summer just around the corner, many TV fans will continue to say goodbye to their favorite television shows. Either definitively or temporary, the finale invasion has arrived. Here are a few shows that are having their finales this week (yet in this madness, there will be shows either returning or debuting soon).

The series finale of HBO’s Game of Thrones is finally here and fans will be able to watch it tonight (May 19) at 9 p.m. ET. The blog does recommend reading Mlgagne’s article on Jaime Lannister (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) to get you ready for the finale. Right after Game of Thrones, many can catch the dark comedy Barry. Its second season finale will air at 10:20 p.m. ET.

Also, airing on Sunday will be the season finales of The CW’s Supergirl (8 p.m. ET) and Charmed (9 p.m. ET).

On Monday, the fourth season finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will air May 20 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. The network also released brand-new footage of how Kate Kane (played by Ruby Rose) becomes a hero of Gotham; Batwoman will air Sundays this fall.

A brand-new globe-trotting action-adventure drama titled Blood & Treasure is about a brilliant antiquities expert and a cunning art thief teaming up to go after a ruthless terrorist. Dare we say it has the potential of being a fun summer, popcorn series? The new show will air Tuesday, May 21 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Elementary, meanwhile, returns for its seventh season this Thursday, May 23 at 10 p.m. ET. CBS’ Seal Team, however, completes its second season this Wednesday, May 22 at 10 p.m. ET. Also airing at the same time will be the series finale of ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier, which was canceled by the network.

DC Universe’s Doom Patrol finishes its first patrol this Friday, May 24 at 9 a.m. ET. (As for everything else airing soon, do check out the new listing which is listed below.)

Of course, the TV chat does not end here. Please join the conversation when visiting the FoCC Forum.
