FoCC Con Report: Looking ahead to Denver Pop Culture Con 2019

By Miclpea

Denver Pop Culture Con (DPCC) returns this weekend, May 31st through June 2nd. The show will be held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. DPCC is an ever-evolving and growing convention that offers the best in pop culture entertainment, panels, guests, and exhibits. The event hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.

DPCC is a family-friendly pop culture fan extravaganza that is a program of the Colorado nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom (PCC). The mission of PCC is to inspire a love of learning, increase literacy, celebrate diversity, and build a community through pop culture. Proceeds from DPCC benefit Pop Culture Classroom’s overall educational endeavors

DPCC’s lineup this year features a broad range of guests from movies, television, comics, authors, and social media. The television and movie guests include Zachary Levi, Jewel Staite, Benedict Wong, Catherine Tate, Matthew Lewis, and many more! From the literary world, the guests include James S. A. Corey, Blake Crouch, Chloe Neill, Lillian Clark, Sherry Thomas, and Pierce Brown! The comics guests include Afua Richardson, Andy Kubert, Babs Tarr, Laura Martin, Mark Morales, as well as an entire slate of talented comic artists.

This year, I will be reporting from DPCC with interviews with exhibitors, authors, and hopefully, one or two special guests. Also, I will be moderating a panel called Bridging The Expanse-Cibola Burn. This will be my third time moderating an Expanse panel at DPCC. If you plan to attend, please drop by my panel (We have prizes!) and let me know that you are a forum member or a reader of our blog site.

I hope to see you at DPCC 2019!

I love going to conventions around the US. I'm an ardent fan of all things science fiction and especially The Expanse. I write for Friends of CC and I have written a science fiction script with a friend.
