With this being the thirteenth consecutive year for EW visiting SDCC, the company will be providing fans with the “EWLand theme hospitality suite” at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. There will be a “Desert oasis lounge, an enchanted forest video studio, an underwater-themed social studio, and an outer space environment in the photo studio.” The “EW Video Studio Presented by the all-new 2020 Toyota Corolla” will have many guests visiting the studio for “one-of-a-kind interviews” with EW. Photos will be shared at EW.com, as well as the company’s social media channels.
Speaking of social media, EW will also be partnering with Facebook. This partnership will give fans “behind-the-scenes access” when interviews are conducted from the “Facebook & Instagram Stories Studio” Hard Rock Hotel suite. Attendees can also enjoy delicious, handcrafted drinks by Peet’s Coffee. (Sounds refreshing!)
EW will also be teaming up with Marvel to host the “After Dark” get together at the EW Studio on Friday, July 19. For example, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast will pay a visit. They will not be the only group saying hello, though.
Of course, the company will be bringing its annual, spectacular SDCC issue, that will be handed out by the EW street team. Attendees can sign up at EW.com for their specific Comic-Con newsletters (which is sponsored by Amazon’s Carnival Row).
The company will also be hosting an invitation-only poolside party on Saturday, July 20 at the FLOAT (Hard Rock Hotel). It will showcase many of HBO’s shows like His Dark Materials, Game of Thrones, Watchmen, and Westworld. The party will have a “Diageo sponsored bar … Johnnie Walker ‘A Song of Ice and A Song of Fire’ – two new Scotch Whisky blends that honor the enduring legacy of Game of Thrones.”
Finally, there will be two panels to check out at the con:
