Amazon announces Carnival Row Pop-ups in LA and Chicago

If you live in or near Los Angeles this upcoming week the fine folks at Amazon Prime Video have something special planned for you to check out. As a special promotion to tie-in to their new series Carnival Row, which premieres August 30th, Amazon will setup a free pop-up for fans to get a glimpse into the mystical Victorian world that is the setting for this new series.

The pop-up will run from 12 noon through 9pm Tuesday August 6th and Wednesday August 7th. Life-sized Curiosity Boxes (images below) positioned in the middle of The Grove shopping center. The pop-up will allow guests the opportunity for attendees to get a glimpse into the world of Carnival Row through some of the show’s mythical creatures including centaurs and faeries. There will be photo opportunities along with a few surprises.

Update (8/7): Here are pictures from LA Pop-up at The Grove.

If you are not on the left coast have no fear because there are plans for a second pop-up in Chicago (where the show was filmed) Labor Day Weekend – stay tuned for more details.

About the series:
Set in a Victorian fantasy world, Carnival Row is filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose exotic homelands were invaded by the empires of man. The series explores how this growing population struggles to coexist with humans — forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom), and a refugee faerie named Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne) rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society.
