Next Week in TV 8/18: Paranormal Activity with The Rook and the Return of Ghost Hunters

By DRWHO42, Mario Wario, & Alyssa

Summer may be winding down a little, however when it comes to summer television, there is plenty of excitement still left. The action starts off this week with the first season finale of The Rook. This series, about a clandestine British agency which operates with agents who have paranormal powers, has been quite interesting as the mystery behind the lead character’s (Myfanwy) amnesia, unfolded throughout this first season. Pennyworth and Preacher are also great choices to round out your Sunday evening.

Midweek the paranormal investigative series, Ghost Hunters, returns and has a new home on A&E. In this revived version of the series, there will be a few new faces on the team and the return of Grant Wilson, one of the two founding members of the series.

Looking back at last week, the season finale of The Handsmaid’s Tale was filled with tense drama. Don’t forget to check out Transmute Jun’s article recapping the finale episode (click here). While there are no new episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale there is no shortage of drama, with the return of 13 Reasons Why as it returns for a third season.

That’s all for this week, however, for a few additional suggestions which may or may not be on your radar/viewing list, the blog recommends checking out Miclpea’s summer recommendations article when visiting the blog itself (click here).
