SDCC 2020 Returning Registration Date Announced

by Transmute Jun

Fans have eagerly been awaiting an announcement from Comic Con International (CCI) regarding badge sales for San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2020, to be held July 23-26 (with Preview Night on July 22). Their patience has finally been rewarded, as CCI has announced that the returning registration sale will be held on Saturday, October 12 at 9:00 am Pacific time. As in prior years, the waiting room will open at 8:00 am, giving fans an entire hour to enter before the sale begins.

Remember, fans can only participate in returning registration if they attended SDCC in 2019 on a paid badge (including the badges purchased at auction for charity last spring). Press, professionals, and other complimentary badges or specialty badge types are not eligible for returning registration. Fans who are uncertain as to their status should login to their Member ID accounts and check their registration status. If they see a green ‘OK CC ’20 Paid Attendee Return Reg’ notice in the upper right corner of the screen. They can also click on the ‘Registration Info’ tab to confirm that they are eligible.

Those who are not eligible for returning registration, as well as those who were unable to purchase a Preview Night badge during returning registration will be eligible for the SDCC 2020 open registration badge sale, likely to take place later this fall.

Badge prices have increased slightly from 2019, with Thursday, Friday and Saturday costing $69 each, while Sunday costs $47 and Preview Night cost $50. This means that a 4-day badge will cost $254, while 4 days plus Preview Night will cost $304.
