Next Week in TV: The Beginning of the end for Arrow

By DRWHO42, Scott, & Alyssa

All good things must come to an end, however, in the case of the CW’s Arrow, this week will mark the beginning of a glorious end for a show that was the catalyst for the superhero-centric era, on we enjoy on television each week. The Arrow-verse is not ‘dead’ yet, and based on all of the news reports and set photos seen since the summer, the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event is shaping up to be a legendary TV event!

The new series Treadstone, debuting on USA on Tuesday, is an interesting option to add to your viewing list this week. We are hopeful this television adoption of the Jason Bourne series will deliver on the action and storytelling. Speaking of movie adaptions, The Purge will commence its second season on the same night, so don’t miss it.

Looking back at the past week, The Walking Dead started off the season with satellites crashing and a stare down, which likens itself to a weigh in for a heavy weight fight. Batwoman started off with a solid ratings performance while it dropped a major surprise at the end. Emergence had a few surprises of its own and now many of us are curious on how they will play out this week, and beyond. 9-1-1 continues keep us on the edge of our seats while, at the same time, delivers a few heartfelt moments (it was moisture in the air, not tears).

The Terror: Infamy wraps its season this week along with Succession and Lodge 49.

It may be early in the season, but Fox did not waste any time by placing a vote of confidence for their freshman series Prodigal Son, by giving it a full season order. With this news it is a great time to check it out.

So, what will you be watching this week? Let us know by visiting the FoCC forum, and we hope you all have a great week ahead!
