ECCC 2020 – New Ticket Packages Available

by Transmute Jun

Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) will begin selling tickets for next year’s event (to be held March 12-15) on Wednesday, October 23 at noon Pacific time. Fans thought they were all ready for the sale, but now ReedPop has announced that in addition to the usual 4-day and single-day badges, ECCC will be offering ‘ticket packages’. These packages bear some similarities to the VIP badges offered a few years ago, yet there are some major differences as well.

For reference, a 4-day badge will cost $145, while single-day badges will range from $30 (Thursday) to $52 (Saturday). The new ticket packages will range from $275-$349. So what’s involved in these packages?

Celebrity Fan Premium Package – $299 per person

This package includes a 4-day badge, and focuses around the celebrity experiences in the Hyatt. Fans with these badges will have advance access to the autograph and photo op sales, as well as a Fastpass to the front of the line for these experiences. Additionally, they will have access to an on-site lounge at the Hyatt, where there will be a coat check, ATM and charging stations. These tickets also come with guaranteed seating at 2 Main Stage panels of the ticket-holder’s choice.

Comic Fan Premium Package – $275 per person

This package includes a 4-day badge, and focuses around those who are interested in Artists’ Alley and the Exhibit Floor. These ticket-holders will have access to a special lounge near Artists’ Alley that will have a coat check, ATM, charging stations and water. They will also have a separate line and first access to the show floor each morning, and advance access to any comic guest autographing pre-sale. There is also a 10% discount off of ECCC merchandise.

Family Premium Package – $349 per family (2 adults and up to 4 children)

While this is the most expensive package, given that it covers 2 adults and multiple children, it actually works out to be the least expensive per person. The package includes Sunday badges for everyone and access to a Family Lounge in the WSCC, which will have coat/stroller check, charging access and water. These families will have guaranteed access for up to 2 family panels of their choice, $40 of food vouchers good at the WSCC vendors, and a 10% discount off of ECCC merchandise.

All 3 packages include early access to various badge sales in 2021, implying that such packages are likely to be offered in future years.
