Next Week in TV 10/27: In Jack We Trust!

By DRWHO42, Scott, & Alyssa

As we enter the Halloween week there will be plenty of frights and ghost hunts to make our visual escape into TV land a fun experience. There will also be a few options, such as the return of Jack Ryan, which will quicken your pulse with action, suspense, and intrigue.

Looking back at the prior week we are seeing the communities in The Walking Dead edge closer to an inevitable conflict with the Whisperers, however, there is a hint of a possible new adversary coming to mix things up. Watchmen started off its run with an action-packed first hour with a plot twist which establishes one of the main storylines for the season. Lastly, and certainly not least, the Arrow-verse is running at full speed with a fabulous start for each of the CW series.

Notable new additions this week include the return of Silicon Valley, For all of Mankind, and Nowhere Man. The highlight for the week is the return of our favorite CIA Analyst Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime. DRWHO42 got an early look at the second season and felt there is no sophomore slump with this series. The setting for this season includes a few international stops including Russia and Venezuela. Stay tuned for his review, but in the meantime he highly recommends adding it to your list.

Also check out the launch of Apple’s new streaming service (Apple TV+) this Friday morning. For example, See stars Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Stargate: Atlantis) which is about humanity losing the sense of sight, yet society has found new ways to survive its current dystopian future. Although there’s a wildcard now: a set of twins are born with sight! What will happen to these twins? Who knows, but watching the new series will be the best course of action to take.

That is it for now. What will you be watching this week? Do let us know when visiting the FoCC forum, and we hope you all have a great week ahead!
