Next Week in TV 2/2: Prepare for Super Bowl LIV and the Return of The Flash

By Scott, DRWHO42, and Alyssa

Are you ready for some football?

The blog is certainly is, and with it being Super Bowl Sunday here in the US, the time has run out to get those party snacks ready for the game. The 54th Super Bowl begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox, and this sporting event will have the San Francisco 49ers square off against the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, the Chiefs are 1.5-point favorites as of this writing.

The 49ers are good at rushing the ball as well as playing great defense, and the team’s ‘speedy’ wide receiver, Deebo Samuel, has been hard to defend lately. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has also done enough to help the team win, while defensive end Nick Bosa has been outstanding this season, as well.

The Chiefs, meanwhile, have the electric Patrick Mahomes and this quarterback has multiple weapons to throw to, such as tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Both players have been playing like ‘all-stars’ for the Chiefs thus far. Overall, Super Bowl LIV looks fantastic! Hopefully, the commercials are too.

The blog also recommends watching Hallmark’s Kitten Bowl VII (2 p.m. ET) and Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XVI (3 p.m. ET), before watching Super Bowl LIV. It sure looks like both bowl games are going to be fun to watch. Overall, how can anyone say no to watching adorable animals play competitively in these ‘fluffy’ events?

On Tuesday, everyone’s favorite ‘Scarlet Speedster’ returns to action after saving DC’s multiverse, so prepare for a brand-new episode of The Flash, which airs at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

On Wednesday, fans of History’s Vikings series will see their beloved series go on a winter hiatus, thanks to a brand-new episode airing at 10 p.m. ET, the series itself concludes later this year. Also on Wednesday (9 p.m. ET) is Fox’s Lego Masters, which is about a team of Lego builders squaring off against each other. They must use their “imagination and creativity” to win. It is all about being crowned as the “most talented amateur Lego builder” in the US.

On Thursday morning, Netflix’s Cagaster of an Insect Cage will thrill your anime mind. Set thirty years after a disease has turned the infected into carnivorous insects, a young ‘exterminator’ and a teenage girl will go on a mission to find her mother. What adventures await our young heroes?

On Friday morning, many can catch the second season premiere of Netflix’s Dragons: Rescue Riders, as well as the series premiere of Locke & Key. The new series is about three siblings traveling with their mom to an ancestral estate, the journey itself leads them to find some “magical keys,” which will unlock certain “powers and secrets.”
