Next Week in TV 2/23: A super week with The Walking Dead, Saul Goodman, and Supergirl

By DRWHO42, Scott, and Alyssa

Sunday night will be EPIC with a lot of surprises, twists, and turns, as well as a few returns. The night starts with part one of the two-part season finale of Doctor Who. Based on reports, series showrunner Chris Chibnall promises fans will experience a range of emotions over these next two weeks. Thus, strap in for a thrilling ride and be prepared for a few scares, because the Cybermen are back!

Sunday night will also be a special night for Supergirl as this week’s episode will be the series’ landmark 100th episode! We should expect a few surprises to mark the special occasion.

The Walking Dead returns this week from its mid-year cliffhanger. We would also like to mention that our weekly TWD recaps, written by Transmute Jun, will also resume. AMC is also kicking off the final season of Better Call Saul with a two-night season premiere Sunday and Monday. This swan song season will also be a special one with the news that it will feature a few familiar faces from Breaking Bad.

If you have not had a chance to check out War of the Worlds on EPIX, which airs on Sunday nights, you may want to carve out some time for this fresh take on the legendary alien invasion story. This latest edition takes viewers to Europe and tells the stories of survivors of the invasion, and their struggle to survive. What was also striking was the imaginative approach the writers took with how the attack unfolds.

On Thursday, the highly anticipated second season premiere of Altered Carbon will appear in your Netflix libraries. Netflix has a slate of new content, everything is set for release this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, so if you are looking for something new, there should be something for you to watch.

Looking back at the past couple of weeks, Netflix’s Locke and Key and Amazon Prime’s Hunters have created plenty of buzzes online. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check them out already, we recommend giving them a shot. Each series has been exciting to watch thus far.

In related television news, fans of The Blacklist are celebrating this week, knowing that the series has been renewed for an eighth season. The second season of The Haunting of Hill House, which will be titled Haunting of Bly Manor, has completed filming this past week. Lastly, filming for season two of The Witcher is currently underway, and of course, there is plenty of news going around lately, which includes Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) joining the series.

Do let us know what you will be watching when visiting the FoCC forum. Until next time, happy viewing everyone!
