Next Week in TV 3/15: Westworld and Supernatural Return, Altered Carbon Debuts This Week

By Scott, DRWHO42, and alyssa

With the sports world and con season postponed, and many stocking up on items lately, it sure feels like the apocalypse is coming thanks to a nasty virus. Although we don’t expect the world ending anytime soon, so don’t worry there, relief from this world’s unpleasant situation has become a must right now, so watching a television show or movie at home sounds pretty good right now.

And escapism begins on Sunday, with the third season of HBO’s Westworld premiering at 9 p.m. ET. The blog can’t wait to see what this new season will bring after a crazy season two.

On Monday, The CW’s Supernatural and Roswell, New Mexico series return to action at their usual times (which are listed in the listing below). On HBO, meanwhile, the series premiere of The Plot Against America airs at 9 p.m. ET, and the series itself focuses on a Jewish family in New Jersey, who are watching the political rise of aviator-hero and xenophobic populist Charles Lindbergh. This six-part series is “based on the Philip Roth novel of the same name.”

Freeform’s brand-new series Motherland: Fort Salem premieres at 9 p.m. ET, and it is about three young witches cutting a deal with the U.S. Government to fight for the country.

On Thursday morning, TV fans can catch the series premiere of Altered Carbon over on Netflix, and it stars the Falcon himself, Anthony Mackie. The series itself is about a person being on ice for 250 years; the main character returns to life with a new body with one last chance to win his freedom, which requires solving a murder.

On Friday, The Blacklist returns after its recent mid-season hiatus. Do note that Friday will have two new episodes to watch on NBC, not just one, and the story continues at 8 p.m. ET.

As always, don’t forget to join the conversation on the FoCC forum to share your thoughts on all things TV. Happy viewing, everyone!
