Funko Announces WonderCon Virtual Con Plans

By Scott C.

Heads up, Funko fans!

With WonderCon 2020 officially postponed next month, Funko has recently announced how they will sell its WonderCon 2020 exclusives to the general public. The company will be doing exactly what they did with their ECCC 2020 exclusives: holding an online sale. The online event itself is called Funko’s WonderCon Virtual Con, and it will take place next month (April 10-12). More information will be shared on March 19, and FoCC Blog will be sure to update our readers! (Update 3/19: Funko has begun to unveil their WonderCon 2020 exclusives, and the photos are here.)

Sadly, WonderCon 2020 was originally scheduled to be held next month (April 10-12) at the Anaheim Convention Center, but the COVID-19 virus decided to spoil the con season a bit more. So far, we don’t know what the new dates will be for WonderCon 2020, nor do we know what will happen to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Comic-Con International (CCI), which runs WonderCon, has said that they are closely monitoring the current situation (we are in a pandemic, after all) and that no decision has been made at this time.
