The Reactor: Cap off your Saturday nights with SYFY’s TZGZ animation block

Looking for something interesting to add to your late-night Saturday viewings? If so, Syfy’s TZGZ animation block may be right up your alley. The animation block itself has a variety of comedic programming, that are intended for adults, which are a great way to cap off your Saturday evenings. TZGZ programming begins every Saturday at midnight and the fun continues for 90 minutes with a mixture of shorts.

Here is a trailer TZGZ animation block:

The current TZGZ lineup includes the following [Title & Description]:

PURGATONY – Tony Pergatelli is a low-level bureaucrat in Purgatory – a claims adjustor for Death. He’s unqualified, unsure of himself and unbelievably burdened by the weight of his choices. It’s just one thing after another! [Each episode is 12 minutes long]

CYANIDE AND HAPPINESS – Cyanide and Happiness brings you a collection of aggressively stupid stick figure cartoons, that irreverently lampoon all the topics your mom told you were no joking matter. [Each episode ranges from 1-4 minutes long]

ALIEN’S GUIDE TO EARTH – Professor Potatoes exposes Earth’s cultural systems, so aliens are prepared for a visit. [Each episode is 90 seconds long]

DON’T FEED THE HUMANS – Self-centered Jack is abducted and forced to live in an alien zoo with roommates from across history. [Each episode is 5 minutes long]

BROGAN: MASTER OF CASTLES – A spoiled prince is given superhuman strength and reluctantly accepts his role as the primary protector of Castle Skull Face. [Each episode is 5 minutes long]

GARY AND HIS DEMONS – An animated comedy about a cantankerous, aging demon slayer who has nothing left to lose. Burdened by his “chosen one” status and backed by a team of specialists he can’t relate to, Gary struggles to keep interest in the Earth-saving duty he never asked for and doesn’t want. [Each episode is 11 minutes long]

HELL DEN – HELL DEN mixes original animation and re-dubbed cartoons in a deliciously warped and hilarious brew of social satire, musical parody and good ol’ fashioned juvenile humor. [Each episode is 11 minutes long]

SCIENCE! – A dysfunctional team of scientists engineer wildly reckless and elaborate experiments. [Each episode is 4 minutes long]

MAGICAL GIRL FRIENDSHIP SQUAD: ORIGINS (short-form version)  – When a little red panda named Nut arrives in the apartment of two directionless twenty-somethings and gives them the magical abilities to transform into badass superheroes, Alex and Daisy are forced to get their shit together in order to save the Universe. [Each episode is 4 minutes long]

The lineup gets more exiting tonight with the addition of DR. HAVOC’S DIARY, which is about a supervillain with a mid-life crisis who has to tangle with secret agents, superheros, and even his own wife. [Each episode is 6 minutes long]

Other additions will include the following:

HELL DEN – After an Uber-Apocalypse wipes out civilization, only one person miraculously survives: 12 year-old Andrew. With the last working TV and VCR in existence, he invites a motley group of apocalyptic creatures into his house to watch weird cartoons and old movies. Hell Den combines original animation of our characters with old live-action and animated clips re-dubbed by the Dr. God troupe in this new, unique, and very warped twist on sketch comedy. CAST: Series regulars Sean Cowhig, Neil Garguilo, Brian James O’Connell, David Park and Justin Ware; guest stars Matthew Lillard, Katie Leclerc, Maria Bamford, Kevin Heffernan. [Each episode is 15 minutes long]

WILD LIFE – TZGZ’s first internally developed pilot greenlit to series. A show about animal friends just trying to stay alive after the apocalypse. Together, they come up with elaborate schemes to entertain themselves and pretty much just keep from going insane. CAST: Natalie Palamides, Baron Vaughn, Reggie Watts, John Paul Reynolds, Claudia O’Doherty, SkittLeZ Ortiz.
