Gen Con 2020 Canceled

by Transmute Jun

With most states opening up and summer on the horizon, many fans had hoped that the wave of event cancellations might slow. Unfortunately, this was not the case for Gen Con 2020, which has now been officially canceled. The ‘best four days in gaming’ will not be happening this year.

If no action is taken, all badges will be rolled over to the 2021 show. However, attendees can also choose to return badges for 100% refund as system credit, to have their badge payments refunded to the original form of payment (less a $10 processing fee). All hotel reservations through the official hotel block will be automatically canceled, and no charges will be made.

To cancel a badge for system credit or a refund, email [email protected] between May 26 and July 29.

Fortunately, there is one silver lining to this grim news: Gen Con will happen as an online event on the same dates (July 30 – August 2), with details to be announced.
