The previous week in TV was exciting with Snowpiercer, Blindspot, and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD each offering great escapes from reality and leaving us waiting anxiously for more this week. In Snowpiercer, the main story itself continues to unfold, which is about survival, while at the same time we get to learn more about each passenger’s past on the perpetually moving train. Overall, life is not all roses and daisies as last week showed, and now with a murder solved, we are very interested in seeing what happens next on the show.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD continues rolling along with the series’ mission through time, and last week fans saw the main group travel to the 1950s, attempting to save the founding members of SHIELD from a devastating scheme.
As for this week, there are a few interesting options for you if looking for some Indiana Jones-type fare. History’s Lost Gold on World War II and Smithsonian’s Secrets Unlocked: The Pharaoh in the Suburbs is the blog’s go-to picks to satisfy your inner Indy.
The highlight of the week for the blog is the debut of The Great Debate this Thursday, June 18, on Syfy. This series is an adaption of the popular panel typically found at San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic-Con, to discuss all things in pop culture. Do stay tuned for an article about the series itself from Miclpea, who got a sneak peek at the first two episodes, hitting the blog later this week.
Cleanin’ Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters, which also airs on Thursday, will provide us a retrospective on the popular movie comedy franchise and hold us over until the latest sequel releases early next year.
On Friday, Netflix will release the movie 7500 which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a pilot of a hijacked plane who is trying to keep his passengers and crew safe.
There will also be a couple of series wrapping up their current seasons including Billions, Insecure, Quiz, Gallery: The Mandalorian and Roswell, New Mexico.
Lastly, some members of the blog team worked together on a list of TV recommendations as we are now officially heading into summer. Click here to have a look at the recommendations the team pulled together.
That’s all for now. Until next week … happy viewing.
