ECCC 2020 Canceled, 2021 Dates Announced

by Transmute Jun

Back when stay-at-home orders were first being issued and the problems surrounding COVID-19 were new to all of us, Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) was one of the first cons to be impacted by the bans on mass gatherings. ReedPop announced that the con was being postponed, and would be held instead in August 2020. Unfortunately, now that months have passed, it is clear that this is still too soon for mass gatherings in Washington State, and as such, the 2020 event has been cancelled.

Fans who transferred their tickets over to the August dates do not have to do anything, and will receive an automatic refund by June 29.

However, this is not the end of ECCC! The con will be back March 4-7, 2021. I know that I am already making my travel plans!
