In the latest programming news for [email protected], Nomadic Pictures announced that the cast of the Netflix horror series, The Order, is joining the [email protected] lineup with a virtual panel on Saturday, July 25 at 3:00 PM PT on the Comic-Con YouTube Channel. For those who follow me on the Blog and on the Forum, you know that The Order is one of my guilty pleasures. The thrilling second season (now streaming on Netflix) of the dramedy, horror series is even better than its inaugural season.
The Order was created, written and executive produced by Dennis Heaton (Motive) and Shelley Eriksen (co-creator of Private Eyes). The series follows college freshman Jack Morton (Manley) who joins a fabled secret society where he is thrust into a world of magic, monsters, and intrigue. In season two, the lines between good and evil are more obscure than ever. The Knights struggle to regain their memories stolen from them by The Order and they crave retribution. But vengeance is hard to plan when you’re also fighting murderous magicians, strange cults, and life-threatening demons. I wonder with all this going on if anyone even goes to class anymore?
The virtual session will include series stars Jake Manley (Heroes: Reborn) as Jack, Adam DiMarco (The Magicians) as Randall, Devery Jacobs (American Gods) as Lilith, Thomas Elms (Timeless) as Hamish, Louriza Tronco (Make It Pop) as Gabrielle, and Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps) as Vera. They will be joined by creator/showrunner Dennis Heaton (Motive), writer/EP Shelley Eriksen (Private Eyes), and executive producers Mike Frislev (Fargo, Hell On Wheels, Van Helsing) and Chad Oakes (Fargo, Hell On Wheels, Van Helsing).
Series Producer Morris Chapdelaine (Van Helsing) will moderate the panel as they discuss the inspiration behind the magical secret society, how the main characters have coped with the events of Season Two, the backstory of the surprise guest stars which appeared during Season Two, and address some of the burning questions left unanswered after the finale.
