Next Week in TV 7/26: Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy, The Umbrella Academy, Wynonna Earp, and More!

[email protected] 2020 has come and gone, but TV this week looks to save the week. 

Let’s begin by pointing out that Syfy’s Wynonna Earp series is celebrating its 4th season premiere tonight (Sunday, July 26th) at 9 p.m. ET. The premiere episode will pick up where the previous season left off in 2018. The talented Melanie Scrofano plays Wynonna Earp.

Early Monday morning, July 27th, Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken comedy series will be celebrating its 200th episode, so don’t forget to join the party that day. 

Quibi has a new sci-fi and drama series to check out titled Don’t Look Deeper, which is about a high school senior (played by Helena Howard) living in Merced, Calfornia, discovering dark secrets about herself. The TV series also stars Don Cheadle and Emily Mortimer and is directed by the Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. She’s also the series’ executive producer.

Fast-forwarding to Thursday, July 30th, Netflix has a transforming treat for all Transformer fans everywhere. Debuting this Thursday morning, the brand-new series titled Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy is about the Autobots and Decepticons fighting each other on their home planet, Cybertron. This new Transformer series is an origin story.  

On Friday morning, July 31st, the second season of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy debuts for all to see. The blog highly recommends adding this series to your viewing list if you haven’t already.

As for some TV news: Amazon’s The Boys got an early season 3 renewal last week, season 6 of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead debuts this October 11th (9 p.m. ET), while AMC’s other zombie shows such as The Walking Dead finally has a season 10 finale date and it is October 4th (9 p.m. ET); The Walking Dead: World Beyond series debuts on October 4th (10 p.m. ET). The world, meanwhile, lost the great Regis Philbin last week to natural causes. He was 88.
