Next Week in TV 11/8: The Return of NCIS and The Blacklist

By DRWHO42 & Scott C.

So, are you looking for something new and fresh to add to your viewing list this week? If so, you are in for a treat as there will be plenty of returning shows this week that offer viewers the opportunity to relax on the couch for a chance to unwind from a long day.

For instance, Sunday evening will see both NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans return to the Sunday television lineup. Also, this Sunday evening, a new comic series, Moonbase 8, debuts on Showtime. The series itself, which stars Fred Armisen and John C. Reilly, is set on a lunar simulation site in the Arizona desert. Overall, it looks quite funny, so give it a try.

Mid-week NBC’s “Chicago Wednesdays” returns with their full complement of Chicago-based series MedFire, and PD. Also, S.W.A.T. returns that same evening!

Netflix will also have a few offerings hitting this week, which may pique your interest, starting with the Christmas-themed Dash & Lily, Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun, and Liberator. Speaking of the holiday season, we are now in November, so check out our article about Netflix’s holiday lineup by simply clicking here.

Nickelodeon, meanwhile, is taking an ambitious step into space with the teen series The Astronauts. It may be a great series to check out with the family.

The Blacklist returns this Friday night for the 8th season. As always, we should expect more intrigue, alliances testing, and the unusual antics from criminal mastermind Raymond Reddington.

Lastly, word broke on early Sunday that popular game show host Alex Trebek from Jeopardy has passed away after a long fight with cancer. Many of us here on the blog, and we are sure fans everywhere, grew accustomed to seeing him as the host of the game show Jeopardy for many years. We will never forget Trebek’s lovely personality and the sweet kindness he showed towards others throughout the years on this Earth. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family. Rest in peace, Mr. Trebek. We will never forget you.

That is all for this week. Please note that the listing below will have the times of each show mentioned above, plus many more airing soon, for you to check out. Until next time, enjoy this lovely week!
