ECCC Changes Dates for 2021 Show

by Transmute Jun

One of the very first conventions to be canceled as a result of COVID-19 was Emerald City Comic Con, which had been scheduled to be held last March. The con was first postponed to August, then canceled altogether, but organizers promised to return March 4-7, 2021. Today, ReedPop announced that ECCC 2021 was being moved to December 2-5, 2021, a delay of 9 months. Given the uncertainties surrounding future lockdowns and restrictions, it is understandable that organizers wished to have a more solid timeline, yet this is still disappointing to many fans.

This does raise the question of the timing for ECCC 2022, which would normally be expected to take place in March 2022 (just 3 months after the December 2021 con). As always, FoCC will report any news as it comes.
