Hello, again, TV fans!
The blog wants to first point out that season four of Netflix’s hit series The Crown has already premiered this Sunday morning. The fourth season has Emma Corrin as Princess Diana and Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, as well as Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher. Do note that a fifth season is eyeing a 2022 release.
Bob’s Burger, meanwhile, reaches a delicious milestone this Sunday evening (9 p.m. ET): the animated series will celebrate its 200th episode, and it will be on Fox as usual.
On Monday, HBO’s His Dark Materials returns for a second season at 9 p.m. ET. Overall, it is good to see this series back in action after a long break since season one ended.
This Tuesday morning (3 a.m. ET), many Lego and Star Wars enthusiasts can catch The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special on Disney+. Of course, may the Force be with you this week and forever.
Fast-forwarding to Thursday night, fans of The CW’s Supernatural hit series will see their beloved show end after a landmark 15 seasons. Before that series finale airs, however, there will be a one-hour special called Supernatural: The Long Road Home that will preview the series finale. That will air at 8 p.m. ET. Right after that (9 p.m. ET), the series finale itself airs, and it is titled “Carry On.” Overall, what a journey it has been for the cast and crew of Supernatural. Yes, it is still surprising to see the series itself end after 15 seasons. We thought Supernatural would continue to air a bit longer. But all good things must come to an end eventually, so maybe we should not be surprised to see the show end, after all?
Friday sees the debut of both HULU’s Animaniacs series and the Disney+ documentary series Marvel’s 616 at 3 a.m. ET. We are witnessing the return of the animated comedy series Animaniacs, which first aired during the 1990s, rather than an actual series debut. Many of the original voice actors are returning, too, so expect the usual silly “cartoonish” antics from Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, and more. So, don’t miss out!
Marvel’s 616 focuses on the Marvel Comic Universe and how popular it has become. The first episode will be about the Japanese version of Spider-Man.
The Umbrella Academy will have a third season thanks to Netflix giving the okay for one. Sadly, The Order did not get the same fate by Netflix; the series is canceled. Meanwhile, filming of season thirteen of Doctor Who is currently underway in the UK, by following the strict working guidelines over there to avoid getting COVID-19. Yes, Jodie Whittaker is once again reprising her role as the Doctor. Also, do not forget that the Doctor Who holiday special “Revolution of the Daleks” will air on BBC America this holiday season.
WandaVision will premiere this January 15, 2021, on Disney+. The series was (originally) intended to debut this December. The first season has six episodes, and it will be the first series set in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That is it for now. But, as always, our question to you is this: what will you be watching this week? Let us know when visiting the FoCC forum! Take care and do not forget to look at this week’s complete schedule located below!
