Justice Society: World War II WonderCon@Home 2021 Panel

By Jason Delgado

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) is bringing an exciting 50-minute panel to WonderCon@Home on Saturday March 27th at 11am PST, with first look footage and interviews, and featuring the voice actors and filmmakers of their brand new feature-length animated film Justice Society: World War II.

Have you ever wanted to see DC’s original superhero team kick some Nazi butt? Justice Society: World War II has got you covered! The story kicks off with modern-day Barry Allen (aka the Flash, before the formation of the Justice League), discovering that he can run faster than even he thought possible, resulting in his first encounter with the Speed Force. The Flash finds himself suddenly dropped in the midst of a full-on battle where the Golden Age DC super team of the Justice Society (led by Wonder Woman, and including Hourman, Black Canary, Hawkman, Steve Trevor and the Golden Age Flash: Jay Garrick) is fighting the Nazis of WWII. Modern-Day Flash quickly offers his help to his fellow heroes in the fight to win the war, while the team tries to figure out how to send Barry Allen back to the future.

The WonderCon@Home panel discussion will be moderated by publicist Gary Miereanu, and feature actors Stana Katic (Castle, Absentia, A Call To Spy) as Wonder Woman, Matt Bomer (Doom Patrol, White Collar, The Boys in the Band) as Barry Allen/Modern Flash, Elysia Rotaru (Arrow) as Black Canary, Omid Abtahi (American Gods, The Mandalorian) as Hawkman, Chris Diamantopoulos (Red Notice, Silicon Valley, voice of Mickey Mouse) as Steve Trevor, Armen Taylor (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as Jay Garrick/Golden Age Flash, Liam McIntyre (The Flash, Spartacus, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) as Aquaman, and Geoff Arend (Madam Secretary, Batman: Hush) as Charles Halstead/Advisor. They will be joined alongside the creative team of director Jeff Wamester (Guardians of the Galaxy TV series), co-screenwriters Meghan Fitzmartin (Supernatural, DC Super Hero Girls) and Jeremy Adams (Supernatural, Batman: Soul Of The Dragon), as well as  supervising  producer Butch Lukic (Superman: Man of Tomorrow, Constantine: City of Demons).

One of the yearly highlights of WonderCon is the annual DC animated feature film that is shown in the humongous Arena in the Anaheim Convention Center. Fans won’t be able to have that collective in-person experience this year, but the next best thing is to watch at home and discuss the movie on our Forum here.
