Gen Con 2021 Moves to September

by Transmute Jun

Gamers can cheer as the premiere gaming convention in the US will be back in person! Gen Con, held in Indianapolis, Indiana, has been delayed 6 weeks. The con is currently planned for September 16-19, 2021. The event will be in person, online, and available at various pop-up locations around the country, to allow as many people as possible to participate.

In its FAQ, Gen Con states that safety measures will be followed, including smaller attendance numbers, and likely a combination of the measures we have seen elsewhere, including masks and social distancing. It is not known at this time whether or not vaccinations will be required for attendees.

Fans who rolled over their badges to 2021 can choose to roll them over again to 2022, or request a refund (to original payment method or system credit), if they are unable to attend the new 2021 dates.
