Next Week in TV 4/4: The Walking Dead & Wynonna Earp Finales, Kung Fu, and Superheroes in Thunder Force!

By Scott C. & DRWHO42

For our televisions last week, we were able to see a giant lizard fight a big gorilla on HBO Max (and in theaters), Supergirl herself returning, a particular ‘resident alien’ going off on a break for now, while the Snowpiercer train left the station for season 3 filming.

This Sunday will see AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 finale airing at 9 p.m. ET. Yet for the 11th and final season, it is currently in production and will air this summer.

AMC+ subscribers can watch the Fear The Walking Dead 6th season spring premiere a bit early (Thursday, April 8th) before AMC airs it on its network.

The classic series, Kung Fu, is getting the reboot treatment and premieres this week (Wednesday, April 7th) on The CW at 8 p.m ET. Of course, we will be tuning in to see this fresh take on the series.

Netflix has a new superhero movie Thunder Force debuting this Friday, April 9th. It is about “Two childhood best friends reunite as an unlikely crime-fighting superhero duo when one invents a formula that gives ordinary people superpowers.” The movie stars Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer, as well as Jason Bateman.

Sadly, Syfy’s Wynonna Earp ends later this week; the series finale itself airs on Friday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In similar news we learned this week American Gods has come to an end as the series was cancelled.

Sports fans can catch two college basketball championship games this week. On Sunday, it is the women’s championship game that features seeds #3 Arizona Wildcats vs. #1 Stanford Cardinals at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN. Both are from the PAC-12 Conference. Then for the men, it is the #1 seeds Baylor Bears vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs on CBS at 9:20 p.m. The Bulldogs are trying to finish the season undefeated.

In some entertainment news, fans of Rick and Morty found out that season 5 will premiere on June 20th, while fans of Netflix’s The Witcher should know that season 2 has wrapped up production over in the UK. Then we have Donald Glover announced that Atlanta‘s 3rd season has started filming. Netflix, meanwhile, will be the home of Knives Out 2 and 3, with both Daniel Craig and director Rian Johnson returning. Netflix also gave the green light for the production of the second season of Pacific Rim: The Black and announced that the second part of season 5 of Lucifer debuts on May 28th. Then there is the news that Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale series returning this April 28th. Lastly, the live-action Powerpuff Girls show has found its Professor Utonium, and it will be Donald Faison.

That is all for this week! Until next time, please let us know what you will be watching when visiting the FoCC forum. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Have a great Easter Sunday!
