Next Week in TV 5/30: The Finale Onslaught Continues, A New Sailor Moon Movie, and More!

By Scott C. & DRWHO42

Welcome to another week of television, everybody!

With summer quickly approaching, the seasonal and series finales have been bombarding us like crazy lately, and the week ahead continues that trend. For instance, Netflix’s Kim’s Convenience is concluding its five-season run, The CW’s Nancy Drew series is wrapping up season two, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy 17th season ends and so does Station 19’s 4th season, and NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit series wraps up it’s 22nd season. Law & Order: Organized Crime also wraps up its first season on NBC. Of course, the listing below will have all of the times and dates of each series mentioned, plus many more joining the finale onslaught.

On Monday, May 30th, this day sees Fox’s animated series Housebroken premiere at 9 p.m. ET. It is about “A group of neighborhood pets and stray animals as they work through their issues inside and outside their therapy group. … Honey, a standard poodle, opens her living room for the group to come and support each other through the misery, mayhem and majesty that is being a pet.”

On the early morning of Thursday, June 3rd, Netflix will be the place to see the one named Sailor Moon in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie global premiere. The two part anime movie is about “A dark power enshrouds the Earth after a total solar eclipse, the scattered Sailor Guardians must reunite to bring light back into the world.”

Also on Thursday morning is Paramount+‘s Woman in Motion: Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek and the Remaking of NASA.

If you are getting ready for the Disney+ series Loki, the streaming service will have another batch of Marvel Studios: Legends episodes airing on the morning of Friday, June 4th. The episodes themselves focus on Loki and the Tesseract to prepare you for the Loki series that premieres on June 9th on Disney+.

Staying with the comic book theme, Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans Go!: Space House is a one-hour special about our main heroes teaming up again with DC Superhero Girls for another crossover event. The special premieres at 6 p.m. ET, Monday, May 31st.

In some television news, fans of actor Gavin MacLeod found out very recently that he passed away at the age of 90. The cause of death hasn’t been posted online. Meanwhile, voice actor Paul Soles has also passed away. He was the voice of Spider-Man in the 1960s animated series. Overall, may both rest in peace.

NBC canceled Debris after one season, while Netflix gave the okay for a season two of Firefly Lane which will debut sometime next year. Netflix also announced the cast of The Sandman, and everyone can see the cast list by clicking here.

The Flash in season eight will begin with five crossover-like episodes with particular Arrowverse characters popping up. The guest list of those characters showing up next season weren’t announced, although Black Lightning’s Cress Williams, who plays the title role, did say that the producers of The Flash have begun talks with him for a potential team-up with the Scarlet Speedster. Right now, talks are still ongoing.
