Next Week in TV 7/25: All Aboard Jungle Cruise on Disney Plus, Transformers Return on Netflix

By Scott C. & DRWHO42

This week, the Summer Olympics keeps rolling along each day. The listing below will help you figure out what to watch. You can also see more of the Olympic schedule by clicking here

On Thursday, July 29, Netflix’s Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom premieres early morning on this day. This third and final chapter in the War for Cybertron storyline will see the Autobots and Decepticons duke it out a bit more, but on a pre-Ice Age Earth. Yet both are not alone on Earth; they will encounter the Maximals and Predacons!

Over on Disney Plus, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt star in Jungle Cruise. The movie is about “A rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest.” The movie will have a one-time extra cost of $29.99. Also, in theaters and IMAX and directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.

In TV news, fans of comedian Jackie Mason found out very recently that he has sadly passed away at the age of 93. Actor LeVar Burton, meanwhile, will be the guest host of Jeopardy! on July 26-30. The Good Fight series has been renewed by Paramount+, which means a sixth season is coming.

It was confirmed last week by Marvel Studios that the Disney Plus shows Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel are both still scheduled to debut sometime this year.

Lastly, Manifest may see another season, after all. Both Netflix and NBC, the same network that originally canceled the series, one may save the day. Talks with Warner Bros TV have resumed with both.

As always, please let us know what you will be watching when visiting the FoCC forum. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
