ReedPop has announced health and safety measures that will be in place for Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) 2021, to be held December 2-5. First and foremost, COVID vaccinations or negative tests will be required for all attendees. For those who choose testing, a PCR test must be taken within 72 hours of entry into each event, or an antigen test within 6 hours. This means that attendees will need to be able to test (or re-test) during the con itself, and should make arrangements to do so in advance.
There has been no announcement thus far as to how vaccination status will be verified, and how often (once or each day) that verification will occur.
Masks will be required for all attendees, regardless of vaccination status. Note that any cosplay items or headwear that impede the visibility of COVID facemasks will not be permitted. Additionally, capacity is restricted and the number of people in buildings will be limited. Attendees must comply with directional signs and sanitation requirements.
