Comic Con Special Edition Releases Safety Measures

by Transmute Jun

Comic Con International (CCI) has posted information on its website regarding the health and safety measures that will be in place for Comic Con Special Edition, scheduled to take place November 26-28, 2021. This is the first sign attendees have had for some time indicating that CCI still plans to hold this event.

The safety measures include mandatory face coverings for all attendees, regardless of vaccination status. These face coverings should fit snugly against the face and not have any gaps, mesh, or vents. Additionally, face coverings must be visible at all times, and cannot be obscured by any cosplay pieces (such as costume masks or helmets).

In addition, vaccinations or negative COVID tests will be required for all attendees. For those taking negative COVID tests, the negative result must be within 72 hours of the start of each day, so attendees should plan to take at least one test during the run of the con.
